Nobis Hotel Copenhagen’s imposing sense of space and elaborate, elegant detailing give its interiors an aura of natural grandeur. The magnificent original building was designed in 1903 for an insurance company and was later home to the Royal Danish Academy of Music. After restoration, Wingårdh Arkitekter has paired the hotel’s neoclassicist interiors with Nordic designs.  

The 1960s annex building where the restaurant NOI is housed has been covered with a signature facade of glass and copper plates, with dynamically placed crossbars as an homage to Le Corbusier’s La Tourette Dominican monastery from the late 1950s. Here diners are greeted by comfortable and soft Embrace Armchairs by EOOS in oak and leather upholstery complemented by CH29 dining chairs by Hans J. Wegner, both designs showing Carl Hansen & Søn’s range and versatility.

The rooms, featuring soothing, richly saturated green-blue tones, include chevron-patterned wooden parquet floors and high, white-painted windows; bathrooms are clad in grey Bardiglio marble from Italy. Lodging invites idle daydreaming on CH25 lounge chairs while luxury suites include CH338 dining tables flanked by stackable CH20 Elbow Chairs in natural oak, in a dialogue with the warm texture of the surroundings and fixtures. All furniture is distinguished by craftsmanship and quality, characterized by curved, organic lines reflecting the shapes of the building’s architectural elements.
