For five weeks in the winter of 2015, Noma has set up its temporary home as a pop-up restaurant in Tokyo. It is taking place at the Mandarin Oriental Tokyo from January 9 to February 14. The top-ranked Michelin restaurant has chosen Carl Hansen & Søn to set the scene, and the chairs used, CH46, one also finds in the private dining room at Noma in Copenhagen.

Commenting on the décor, Kreiner says, “we wished to maintain a link to our home restaurant, and incorporating the modern Danish aesthetic was a big part of recreating the ambience our Copenhagen guests enjoy. We selected Wegner’s CH46 chairs for Noma in Copenhagen, so it was the natural choice to offer the same visual and sensory experience to our guests in Japan.
